It started the way most businesses do. Nikita was looking for a device that would let him get around outdoors and still be light enough to take in a taxi, on a plane and so on.
What next? We started improving it and ended up building what is probably the most powerful and fastest electric wheelchair in the world. It was fun. But the problem of an affordable, compact everyday solution was still unsolved. So we invested all our savings and more (as usually happens when you start a business) in a new project: Tookas. Despite all the twists and turns since 2019, we released the first batch and received a great deal of positive feedback and constructive suggestions from users.
That inspired us, and we put everything into a new design, the second version of Tookas. We developed it together with some brilliant people: leading engineers and specialists in materials science and design. We ran a huge number of simulations and used the most advanced manufacturing technologies. We put hundreds of test kilometres on every prototype. You wouldn't believe what we put them through…
